The second is to reside in Spain and finally the presentation of the DNI or NIE is requested.
Once the user has registered with the Phishing Alert service, it has indefinite validity. Except if the registered user decides to unsubscribe from the service. For this you can do it in two ways, online or face-to-face.
Valid forms to enroll are:
- In person
For this, the user who wants to register must go to an authorized registry office. It can be done in the post offices, through the electronic registers of the Public Administrations or in the consular offices in Spain abroad. To make the process effective, the user must wait a maximum of three business days.
- Online
Users who wish to register online can do so through the electronic headquarters of the General Directorate for the Regulation of Gambling. For this it is necessary to have an electronic certificate. In this case, user registration is done automatically
How does the DGOJ Phishing Alert service work?
Once the user has registered with the Phishing Alert service, the DGOJ has data called situation reports. This report details from start to finish the registrations and cancellations that the user has made in the different online operators in which he is registered. The game operator is in charge of comparing the data with that of other users. The way to check this data is through the DNI or NIE, the name and surname or the date of the user.
If the DGOJ detects the existence of two matching records, they are responsible for communicating this fact to the corresponding user. In this case, the affected person contacts the gaming operator. The gaming operator has the obligation to carry out the appropriate documentary verification mechanisms and records to grant a verdict and determine a resolution.
Which operators adhere to this service?
On the website of the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego there are all those operators who are attached to this service. Any online gambling operator licensed in Spain can apply for membership through the “Communications Priced” procedure of the DGOJ electronic headquarters.
